Another strong year for Northamptonshire’s leading businesses

The Northamptonshire Limited report, prepared by financial and business advisers Grant Thornton, gives a unique insight into the performance of the Northamptonshire business community. The survey analyses the financial performance of the county’s leading privately owned companies, providing a yardstick against which the county can assess its economic performance and businesses can benchmark themselves against their peers.

The 2017 report has found that the combined turnover of the top 100 companies rose by 9.5% to £6 billion, and EBITDA increased by 13.5% to £382 million.

According to the report, “despite ongoing uncertainty surrounding Brexit and the wider global landscape, the majority of Northamptonshire businesses expect to increase or maintain profit and staff levels over the next 12 months.” Mike Hughes (Director, Grant Thornton) says; “Overall, Northamptonshire is performing strongly in terms of business growth compared to the rest of the UK and this is set to continue.”

Logistex are proud to be included in the list of Northamptonshire’s Top 100 Companies. Derek Kay, Business Development Director at Logistex says; “To be recognised as one of the top 100 companies in Northamptonshire is a testament to the hard work put in by the whole team at Logistex. We’re really proud to be able to provide employment for so many people across the country and this award comes with a big thank you to all our staff.”
