AMHSA Symposium to focus on e-commerce

Further details are available about this year’s AMSHA symposium, which will focus on latest developments in e-commerce and automation.

The Symposium will appeal to e-commerce professionals with an interest in order picking, sorting, packing, ‘click and collect’, end-of-line equipment, and order fulfilment. Organised by the Automated Material Handling Systems Association (AMHSA), the event will be held on 9th October 2014 at the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire.

As the latest of five similar events presented by AMHSA, this year’s Symposium is expected to attract over 100 delegates from the UK and overseas. Invitations have been extended to a number of experienced e-commerce, supply chain and retail specialists to speak within the conference programme on a range of subjects including order processing, storage, pre-picking, packing and distribution.

Alongside the conference presentations, the day will provide plenty of opportunities for delegates to view a number of mini exhibition-style displays hosted by AMHSA members. This will allow time for discussions on latest products or future projects with the participating companies.

Also, following the day’s proceedings, AMHSA will be hosting a dinner to allow guests a time of relaxation and networking with fellow delegates.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to this year’s Symposium,” says Andy Pilkington, president of AMHSA. “We’ve lined up a panel of high profile specialists to share their knowledge on latest developments in e-commerce and automation so it’s an event not to be missed. Having hosted a number of similar events on behalf of our members over the years, we’re confident that our forthcoming Symposium will be the most successful ever.”
