VOW Europe Ltd places automated pick and pack system contract with Logistex

Logistex, international designer and supplier of integrated storage and materials handling systems, has won the contract to supply an automated picking and packing system to VOW. The system, which includes conveyors and carton assembly equipment, will be installed in the company’s Doncaster Distribution Centre as part of a consolidation and expansion programme and is scheduled for completion by June 2010.

Logistex provided a full consultation and design service to assist Vasanta throughout the planning stage and is supplying its own warehouse control software, designed to fully and easily integrate with Manhattan’s WMS.
VOW is the largest office products wholesaler in the UK and Ireland.

Spicers Award Upgrade Enhancement Project

Spicers continues to invest in the Sawston site near Cambridge and as a result has awarded Logistex with a significant upgrade and enhancement project. Logistex delivered the original solution 11 years ago and has ensured effective performance via its Lifecycle Support Team during this time.



Works starts immediately and Logistex looks forward to ensuring successful implementation for Spicers by the end of 2010
