Everyone has got well and truly into the Christmas spirit at the Logistex Head Office with a deck your desk competition, a Christmas jumper competition, and a Christmas bake sale! Here’s a few pictures of the staff in their festive knits!
The Bake Sale was held to raise money for The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal. £19 provides a Christmas box filled with food to a family in need, £45 provides support for five homeless people, and £119 provides a Christmas dinner and companionship for 20 lonely older people. We managed to raise £103 which was then matched by the company to give a total of £206 for this great cause.
The winners of the competitions were Neil Burton (Deck your desk) and Clive Collett (Christmas jumper). The judge’s comments were: “The deck your desk prize has to go to Neil Burton. The number of animatronic Christmas characters, along with festive bunting, not to mention the positive Christmas cheer it’s generating in Mark Birkett makes Neil’s desk a clear winner. The Christmas jumper prize has to go to Clive Collet for his Christmas t-shirt. No further explanation needed.”
Merry Christmas from everyone here at Logistex!
The Crystal Eagle is awarded to an operation that achieves one year without any reportable H&S incidents. Bearing in mind this includes hauliers in/out of the operation and the mill which are dangerous environments, the success of winning this prestigious award is commendable. This is the first time the award has ever been presented to the Northfleet site.
“Safety is a core value for KC, and our commitment to safety is a commitment to do what is right – by everyone, on every site, every day. Myself and the UK Supply Chain team are totally committed to ensuring this is as true of 3PL SC site operations as in KC manufacturing operations.
Thank you Unipart and Logistex for partnering with us to realise this commitment by ensuring our operations identify potential opportunities to operate more efficiently and effectively, but without compromising – and indeed actively supporting – the safe working environment on site at Northfleet.
However, special thanks and kudos to Ryan, Neil (W), Neil(M), Hugh and the whole Northfleet Unipart and Logistex team who live and breathe strong safety values every minute of every day in every area of operation. Profound appreciation for your efforts, which mean our Northfleet colleagues and hauliers go home injury-free every day.”
