The Logistex Head Office donned our jeans for the day on Friday in support of Jeans for Genes. As well as donating to wear our jeans to work, the Logistex team were busy at home in the kitchen in preparation for The Logistex Bake-Off.
The Bake-Off was judged by our very own Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry in the form of two of our Directors. The cakes were judged against a variety of criteria including taste, blueness and, of course, soggy bottom. The competition was so close that the judges had to have seconds… and then thirds… just to be sure. After a tense half an hour, the final decision was made. The winners of the 2015 Logistex Bake-Off were:
1st – Tajal Katargamwala
2nd – Ian Carr
3rd – Helena Terry
Luckily there was enough cake left over after the judging process for the rest of us to have a piece (or three) in return for a donation to Jeans for Genes. Congratulations also to the Jeans for Genes quiz winners; Derek Kay, Liz Mortlock and Jonathan Skelly! The staff raised £173.45 through their efforts. This was then generously matched (and topped up) by the company to give a grand total of £375 to this great cause.
