Another great show for Logistex at the Internet Retailing Expo

Logistex returned to the Internet Retailing Expo this week, showcasing their LWS Reflex Warehouse Management System. The stand boasted a fully operational demo giving visitors a complete hands-on experience of what LWS Reflex has to offer, and allowing them to order, pick, pack and despatch goods (and to take away some freebies as well!).

Alongside the Warehouse Management System, Logistex were displaying and demonstrating their business intelligence dashboard Analytex, which provides full operational warehouse data on screen in graphical, easy to read detail. Analytex is now also available on mobile devices, which means that information is readily available to managers at any time and any place.

The Reflex team were kept busy as the stand attracted lots of new faces (and it was nice to see some ‘old’ ones there too!). With lots of promising new leads, and the opportunity to network with the industry’s finest, it was a great show all round.

If you couldn’t make it, don’t worry! Logistex will be at the eCommerce Expo later this year on 30 September and 1 October, so make sure you pop along to have a chat with the team and try out the system for yourself!

Logistex signs distributor agreement with AutoStore

Logistex have signed a distributor agreement with Norway’s Hatteland for the sale of AutoStore storage systems. The distribution agreement names Logistex as an official distributor of the automated warehouse system AutoStore in the UK market.

AutoStore is an innovative, module based storage system in which goods are stored in bins that are stacked on top of one another in a self-supporting aluminium grid. The bins are handled by radio controlled, battery powered robots which move on rails on top of the grid, lifting bins, moving them for further processing and then placing them back into the grid. Bins leave the grid at access ports for pick or replenishment. The fact that each robot and each port are independent units makes AutoStore an extremely reliable and flexible system. According to Derek Kay, Business Development Director at Logistex, “AutoStore is a unique, high-density automated storage & retrieval system which will provide a particularly cost-effective solution for businesses seeking efficiency improvements within their existing footprint.” AutoStore is easy to install and expand in both existing and new buildings, providing optimal utilisation of warehouse space, and better use of manpower.
